Implementing Manage Workforce Key Process and Data Interactions

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe the Manage Workforce key process and data interactions.

Manage Workforce Sequence Overview

This lesson will enable you to understand the Manage Workforce process flow.

This diagram displays key elements of the Manage Workforce sequence overview

Process Flow

The Manage Workforce process flow refers to the sequential steps within a single process, outlining the order of activities from start to finish.

Process Flow:

  • Represents the linear sequence of tasks within a single process
  • Focus on the internal steps and decision points within a process

The Manage Workforce Process Flow is shown below by role.

This diagram shows the Manage Workforce Cross-Module Process Flow by Role.

Note

The Manage Workforce process bundle overlaps with the Recruit to Onboard process bundle until the employee’s first working day. If the Recruit to Onboard Process Bundle is in scope, then the Position is used to create a Job Requisition, followed by supporting processes to recruit and onboard a candidate. This is illustrated in the following Process Diagram for Recruit to Onboard. If the Recruit to Onboard process bundle is not in scope, recruitment will occur outside of SAP SuccessFactors, but the candidate can still be entered into the Manage Hire/Rehire process step.

Process and Data Interactions

The Manage Workforce process interactions describe how different processes within a system communicate and influence each other, highlighting where data or information is exchanged.

  • Process interaction - Looks at the relationships and exchanges between multiple processes; may involve communication between different modules or systems
  • Data interaction - Highlights the points where data is exchanged between processes
This image shows the key elements of the Manage Workforce Process & Data Interactions

The figures below depict the Manage Workforce process and data interactions with the following SAP SuccessFactors modules/features:

  • 1 Employee Central (EC) to EC Time Off & Time Tracking
  • 2 EC Time Off & Time Tracking to Payroll
  • 3 Employee Central to Payroll
  • 4 Employee Central to Platform

  • The Manage Workforce process bundle overlaps with the Recruit to Onboard process bundle until the employee’s first working day. If the Recruit to Onboard Process Bundle is in scope, then the Position is used to create a Job Requisition, followed by supporting processes to recruit and onboard a candidate.
  • The Manage Workforce process interactions describe how different processes within a system communicate and influence each other, highlighting where data or information is exchanged. There are several Manage Workforce processes and data interactions (e.g., Employee Central to EC Time Off & Time Tracking, Employee Central to Payroll, etc.).
