Using Joule to Analyze Database Alerts

SAP HANA Cloud will produce database alerts when threshold values are exceeded, or when the database needs your attention. As a database administrator it is your task to analyze these database alerts, which can be time consuming. To speedup the database alert analysis you can use Joule. The following prompts will instruct Joule to perform a database alert analysis.

Open Alerts

Will open the SAP HANA Cloud Central - Alerts application and display the current database alerts.

Show Alerts Overview

Will trigger Joule to display an Alert Overview, from this Alert Overview you can select an alert for further troubleshooting. Joule makes an analysis and provides a possible solution. Joule also presents you with the link to the Show Resource Usage app. You can use Show Resource Usage app to deeper investigate the memory, compute, storage, and threads usage.
