Discovering Company Settings

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to discover Company settings.

Company Settings

These settings are used to activate additional features in the system. Some of these were previously available to consultants via Provisioning only.

  • Disable locale based number format: When this setting is selected, the system will enforce a default number format. By default, this setting is not selected.
  • Hide user photos on the worksheet and compensation profile: When this setting is selected, you will not be able to see the employee’s photo on worksheet and in Compensation Profile.
  • Hide Personal Compensation Statements in PDF format: When this setting is selected, you can hide the PDF format download link of Compensation Statements, Combined Statements, and Variable Pay Statements on the worksheet and Executive Review as well as in Employee Profile.
  • Do not display numbers on SuccessStore personal compensation statements in each user’s locale: When this setting is not selected, the SuccessStore personal compensation statement displays the numbers in the local number format of the statement recipient. By default, this setting is not selected.
  • Allow Compensation Administrator to export compensation plan activity audit via UI: When this setting is selected, administrators can export the audit trail report in the Manage Worksheetsection when compensation is activated. Note that a compensation audit is only available in customer production environments.
  • Enable RBP for Executive Review Export (and Import): Select this option to activate additional RBP settings to export (and import) Compensation and Variable Pay Executive Review and Hierarchy Based Approval.
  • Enable Role-Based Permissions for Lookup Tables: When this setting is selected, additional permissions are made available to control the access to specific lookup tables, granted the user has access to Manage Lookup Table. The new permissions are included in User PermissionsCompensation and Variable PayLookTable Access.
  • Do not wrap worksheet column header labels: When this setting is selected, the column header labels in Compensation and Variable Pay worksheets are prevented from wrapping, even if the column width set in the Column Designer is narrower than the label.
  • Encrypt lookup table data: When you enable encryption, the system protects personal information by encrypting all lookup table input keys sent to the user interface. Note that encrypting data for large tables could impact system performance.
  • Enable Executive Review Edit-in-place: When this setting is checked, the Executive Review screen opens as editable; planners can change recommendations for all employees at the same time.
  • Enable Compensation Excel Offline Edit : When this setting is checked, planners can download worksheet values to excel, enter recommendations, and then import them back into the system.
  • Disable Launch Worksheet for specific group: When this setting is checked, the option to launch worksheet for a specific group is disabled.
  • Enable Compensation-EC promotion integration: When this setting is selected, you can use the Employee Central (EC) job information screen within the Compensation worksheet for promotion planning.
  • Hide Salary Positioning section on Compensation Profile: When this setting is selected, you can hide or display the salary positioning section in Compensation Profile. By default, Hide Salary Positioning section on Compensation Profile option is not selected.
  • Automatically purge deleted worksheets after (1-365) days: When this setting is selected, administrators can enter how long deleted worksheets will be retained before getting purged. The system can auto-purge 1 to 365-day-old deleted forms.
  • Allow access to the updated user search in Executive Review Filter Options: When this setting is selected, users can utilize the advance user search in Executive Review.
  • View generated Variable Pay and Combined Statements based on Role-Based Permission: When this setting is selected, the system will use RBP as criteria for employees to view statements. When this setting is not selected, Combined and Variable Pay statements use legacy permissions. This setting must also be enabled as a prerequisite for activating Email Notification for Statement Generation.
