Scenario Activation
During the import of a scenario, it is registered in the repository of the target system. Before it can be used in the Manage Workflows editor, it has to be activated in the system. This activation is client-dependent. The activation can either be delivered by the responsible development team or must be performed once on the target client.

Scenarios will be activated in the customizing with activation in SWDD_SCENARIO automatically. To review a scenario activation on a client, open in IMG activity Activate Scenario in node Flexible Workflow.

If the scenario already displays in the list, simply set the Active flag. If not, create a New Entry and set the Active flag.
Note
The execution user needs the change authorization for maintenance view V_SWF_FLEX_SCACT.
The user who changed the settings and the time the setting was changed is automatically persisted by the system.
When changing the Active flag on a customizing client, the system will ask for a transport request to which the customizing can be assigned. This customizing is imported in all clients of a target system, but previously saved settings cannot be updated.
One suggestion is to deliver configuration content for SAP S/4HANA as part of a solution defined in the Solution Builder (transaction code /N/SMB/BBI). Based on the maintenance view V_SWF_FLEX_SCACT a BC set can be assigned to a solution.
Event Customizing and Logs
Event linkage of activated scenarios can be checked and tested using Transaction CodeSWETYPV and Event TraceSWEL. Activate the Event Trace before in transactionSWELS.
In the application log SLG1 for object /WF/JOBS you can find more details as well in the job log SM37 for job SAP_WORKFLOW_SYSTEM .
