Concept Phase
The product development process starts with the concept phase. In this phase, the requirements are detailed to support costs, and pricing estimations and deadlines are defined. From a technical perspective, alternatives are analyzed, styling designs are created, and the production technology is defined.
In the concept phase, the major goal is to prove that business requirements and technical targets can be fulfilled. The requirements are set by the customer or by the business unit of the company.
