Exploring Time Sheet Allotments

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create a Time Sheet Allotment in SAP Fieldglass.

Time Sheet Allotments

Time Sheet Allotments are used to apply accounting amounts to time sheets for activities or items that fall outside of their regular work hours and/or duties but are not covered by the standard, overtime, and double time rates. These might include things such as housing, cost of living adjustments, daily allotments for meals and transportation as well as pension, insurance, and benefits.

Some Time Sheet Allotments are entered by the worker on the time sheet and some are applied without input from the worker.

For example, Joe was required to be on call on a particular Friday evening after a major network upgrade. For that period of time when he was on call but was not required to work, he would document that time using a Time Sheet Allotment.

Time Sheet Allotments List page

Time Sheet Allotments are available for customers who have the company configuration Enable Rate Schedule enabled.

2The Time Sheet Allotment Category indicates selected rate category for the time sheet allotment.
3An Interval is the frequency at which the Time Sheet Allotment should be given. The interval controls the Units default value. When a Time Sheet Allotment does not have a time sheet entry, it is applied once per time sheet. This list is established by SAP Fieldglass and cannot be changed.
4Minimum and maximum Pay and Bill Rates can be entered when the Enter Minimum/Maximum option is selected during the time sheet allotment setup. This will allow the range of rates to be set here. If Populate Using Script is selected, the rates will appear as zero in these columns.
5To view details of a time sheet allotment, select an appropriate link in the Code column.

Time Sheet Allotment Details page

The details page provides some additional characteristics beyond what was presented on the list page, such as if the allotment is taxable or if the supplier is able to edit the pay and bill rates.

6If the Enter Minimum/Maximum option is selected during the time sheet allotment setup, the range of pay and bill rates will appear in the Time Sheet Allotment Per Unit field. If Populate Using Script was selected, that would be indicated here instead.

Create a Time Sheet Allotment

As a benefit, WorkingNet provides a transit reimbursement for days that workers commute into the office.

Here is how you, as the SAP Fieldglass administrator for WorkingNet, would create a Time Sheet Allotment to allow workers to submit for this flat fee on their time sheets.
