Defining Qualifications

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create a Qualification in SAP Fieldglass.

Qualifications

Qualifications are the characteristics or skills needed or requested for specific positions. They allow buyers to specify the competency, duration, and level of experience needed for a worker. They appear on Job Postings as fields which suppliers must complete, ensuring that they submit the most appropriate candidates.

For example, WAN/LAN interfacing is a specific skill Mavis requires on her team, so WorkingNet uses a Qualification called "WAN/LAN" to ensure that candidates have that skill.

If Qualifications are added to a job posting template, the supplier is required to complete them to indicate the extent of the worker's abilities.

Navigating the Qualification Admin Object

1	To view a list of qualifications associated to the tenant, select Qualification from the Worker section of the admin menu.

Qualification List page

Qualifications must first be associated to Qualification Categories before they can be associated to job posting templates.

2	Assessment Scale indicates how the qualification is assessed, such as whether it’s a certification, number of years of experience, True/False, or a point scale.
3	Categories indicate the number of qualification categories that a qualification is associated to. The numbers in this column are selectable and will take you directly to the page listing the categories.
4	To view the details of a qualification, select an appropriate link in the Name column.

A qualification details page displays the same details as on the list page, such as name and assessment scale.

Create a Qualification

As a manufacturer of networking equipment, WorkingNet requires their employees and external workers to be certified to install and configure their products.

Mavis wants to ensure that her Job Posting includes a WorkingNet certification qualification. As the administrator of SAP Fieldglass for WorkingNet, it falls to you to create the qualification.
