A schedule is a defined time frame with a start date and an end date in which you want to process a certain number of maintenance orders. Within this time frame orders can be scheduled manually or automatically.

Objective
A schedule is a defined time frame with a start date and an end date in which you want to process a certain number of maintenance orders. Within this time frame orders can be scheduled manually or automatically.
When you set a start date or trigger automatic scheduling for the order operations in your schedule, the app tries to find a time slot for each operation in the schedule period, while considering certain operation attributes, such as priority and relationships. You can also set the start time manually.
Factors that determine how operations are scheduled:
Manually selected Start Day: Manually scheduled operations take precedence over automatically scheduled ones.
Priority: The higher the priority of the order and its operations, the higher the precedence for scheduling.
Basic Finish Date: The earlier the basic finish date, the higher the precedence for scheduling.
Total Work: The greater the total work, the higher the precedence for scheduling.
Order Number: The lower the order number, the higher the precedence for scheduling.
Operation Number: The lower the operation number, the higher the precedence for scheduling.
Note
You can create several schedules for the same package of work orders to compare different planning variants. If you have more than one schedule for the same package of work orders, you should select one of them before it reaches its start date and freeze it.
Please note that schedules which reach their start date will be deleted automatically if they are not frozen. Only frozen schedules will be processed and tracked.
Processing status is a concept used only in the resource scheduling apps. The processing status is set according to the operation sub-phase and system status of an order operation or suboperation in the maintenance order. In the resource scheduling apps, you can view the phase and sub-phase of order and order operations but not the system statuses.
An order, order operation, or suboperation can only have one processing status, but multiple system statuses. The following table shows you which processing statuses are available and how they relate to the operation sub-phases and system statuses.
Due: planning can start.
Due (Draft): changes were made, but not saved yet.
Scheduled (Draft): new start date, but not saved yet.
Dispatched: operation is scheduled at the right place and time.
In Process: work has started.
Confirmed: operation was completed.
You can assign one or multiple maintenance order operations to a person responsible. You can also change or delete existing assignments. Use apps Assign Maintenance Order Operations (part of RSH) or Find Maintenance Orders and Operations or Change Maintenance Order for this purpose.
You must set up business users for all system users (SU01 users) that are to be assigned as person responsible to an order operation or as planner or reviewer for a schedule.
In addition, make sure that the S/4HANA BP Synchronization report (technical name: /SHCM/RH_SYNC_BUPA_FROM_EMPL) is scheduled to run regularly.
