Exploring Customizing & Roles

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to check Roles and Customizing

Role for RSH

Resource Scheduling (RSH) uses a Fiori role which has to be implemented and assigned on the frontend server. Although RSH uses its own role, they work according to the same principles as the other roles in SAP S/4HANA Asset Management or other applications.

Persons that are supposed to work as RSH planners or RSH reviewers need to be assigned business role SAP_BR_MAINTENANCE_PLANNER_RSH .

Fiori Roles consist of catalogs, groups and spaces which provide access to different apps using tiles.

Customizing Settings for RSH

Although Resource Scheduling (RSH) requires a separate license it is tightly integrated with SAP S/4HANA Asset Management. This means that RSH relies on a fully implemented SAP S/4HANA Asset Management providing the usual objects such as order types, work centers etc.

The following paragraphs only show the customizing settings specific for RSH. For SAP S/4HANA Asset Management settings please refer to the corresponding learning assets.

The following settings have to be made on the backend server.

Access to Customizing

On the SAP Menu screen, choose

Tools → Customizing → IMG → Execute Project → Goto → SAP Reference IMG

Menu Paths for Customizing Settings in Resource Scheduling.

The following tables provide menu paths for the Phase Model Customizing settings.
