Multidimensional Analysis

The figure poses a question about experience with Business Intelligence tools or spreadsheet pivot tables that offer similar functionalities. It explains that multidimensional reports, such as those generated by the Balance Sheet/Income Statement (Multidimensional) app, allow users to interact with data based on their roles. These reports enable initial data filtering at the header level and provide a dimension pane for adding, switching, or suppressing dimensions in the report using a graphical interface.

The Navigate to link in this app provides access to several other apps: For example the Display Document flow and Display Journal Entries in General Ledger Apps can be easily accessed here.

Many other multidimensional reports are available in SAP S/4HANA. For example, using the Journal Entry Analyzer app, it is possible to select, organize, compare, and analyze the relevant information at the journal level in a similar way to the multidimensional Balance Sheet already described.

For sharing or further analysis, it is also possible to export the data to XLS or PDF formats.

Certain reporting needs of Global Inc. will demand that more sophisticated types of reporting are applied. This may include multidimensional account analysis that will be then outlined by Jill:

The figure displays a screenshot of the app Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional. Key features highlighted include the current dimensions in the report's columns and rows, the ability to add available dimensions to these axes, and advanced analytical functions. This app also allows exporting reports to PDF or XLS formats and provides links to other related reports.
