Resolving Data Issues

SAP Responsible Design and Production provides an application that helps you to resolve data issues.

This image shows how to view data quality issue(s).
  1. Go to the launchpad and choose the Data Quality application. The application opens.
  2. Fill out the filters and choose Go. If there is an issue with the data, then a list of issues is displayed. Whether you can resolve an issue in your source data or in SAP Responsible Design and Production is indicated in the column Can Be Resolved In.

Replication Results

You can view replication results in different applications. To view log data, go to the Configuration Cockpit and the Replications tab. To inspect the replicated data, different applications are available:

  • Manage Products
  • Manage Customers
  • View Configuration Data
  • View Deliveries

The Deliveries application respects the access control for the underlying organization data. You can only view deliveries of companies and sales organizations to which you have access.

  • View Organization Data
  • View Packaging Compositions
  • View Packaging Elements
  • View Packaging
  • View Material Documents
  • View Inventory
  • View Suppliers

To find out if there are data issues that must be resolved, go to the Data Quality application.

Customer Management

In SAP Responsible Design and Production, you can view the replicated or imported customers, you create customers tags and assign them to customers, and you can edit the customer role.

To view replicated or imported customers go to the Customers application.

Create customer tags in the Configuration Cockpit in the Customer Tags section. You can maintain tag descriptions in different languages.

Assign tags to customers or edit the role in the Customers application. Search and select the customer that you want to edit. Editing options are provided in the detail view.

Incoterms Management

The Configuration Data application allows you to view the configuration data that has been uploaded. Amongst others, the application also allows you to edit Incoterms:

  • In the Configuration Data application, within the tab Incoterms, you can edit the field ‘Supplier Liable for Plastic Tax’. Default values for this field are generated during the replication. The default value that is generated is 'No'. Once the value is changed manually, it is not overwritten by later replications. Incoterms can only be edited in the Configuration Data application.
  • To be able to edit values, you need the RDP_Config_Incoterms_Expert role.
  • Incoterms have an impact on the liability to pay plastic taxes, e.g. in the context of the UK plastic packaging tax. For instance, deliveries as imports that are directly shipped to the customer are only considered as tax relevant, if these deliveries have a maintained Incoterms attribute that indicates that the supplier is liable for the Plastic Packaging Tax.

Product Management

In SAP Responsible Design and Production, you can view the replicated or imported products, and you can edit the additional attributes and the country/region-specific data of a product.

Products can be finished goods, trading goods, or packaging materials. For a company that produces packaging materials, products correspond to packaging materials.

To view replicated or imported products, go to the Products application.

Search and select the product that you want to edit. Editing options are provided in the detail view.
