Partners can view the forecasted demand of returnable packaging materials and place orders.
Packaging managers can view the orders in Plan Returnable Packaging Materials app. Packaging managers can also modify the approved quantities based on the ordered quantities raised by partners.

Some suppliers like the flexibility to order the necessary quantity of empty containers for their deliveries themselves. RPM provides for them a specific app where suppliers can see which packaging materials are supported for self-ordering (defined in packaging-account).

Process
- The supplier can order a quantity for delivery on a specific delivery-week.
- If the order quantity exceeds the forecasted quantity for the week a comment has to be added by the supplier and the order has to be approved by the packaging-manager, lower order-quantities are approved automatically.
- Approved order-quantities of the week will create sales-orders in the backend system (weekday of delivery defined in packaging-account)
- The supplier can check the status of his orders in the app. With the goods-issue of the delivery the status of the order in the app changes into 'delivered'.
