Creating a Shop Definition

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create a shop definition in Lean Catalog.

Shop Definition

In the Lean Catalog, the shop definition offers a wide range of control options for your front-end display and functional settings. You can determine exactly which data appears for users and which catalog functions are active.

For instance, you can define a catalog's validity for specific parts of your organization using purchasing organizations or plants. Additionally, you can refine price and source of supply determination by restricting them to specific sources, such as purchasing info records, contracts, source lists, or the moving average price for articles kept in stock.

You can define a shop definition in transaction /ESAPLC/LCATCUST.

SAP interface displays a structured menu for Lean Catalog Customizing, highlighting options for defining shops and related settings.

The end user sees only what is above the line the shop. All the content management for the shop happens underneath. This includes adding or removing items, price changes, quantity changes, and so on.
