Intro to Supplier Materials

A supplier material is a "slim", streamlined material, combined with a purchase info record. It is a source of supply for one supplier only.

In the supplier material, you store all the information you need in the catalog and for further processes in procure to pay. This may include media such as pictures, text descriptions, attachments, prices, and more. This content can added when you create the supplier material.

The biggest advantages of using supplier materials are:

  1. They contains only information that is relevant for purchasing
  2. They can be deleted much easier than a standard material master
  3. They can be easily created using Import Manager.
