Enabling System Contracts and Tenants

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to demonstrate how to get access to the Tenants of SAP Service Cloud Version 2 from an active contract including the creation of initial user with credentials

System Prerequisites

Contract, Tenant ID, User Credentials

SAP Service Cloud Version 2 is a cloud-based customer service solution provided by SAP. It helps businesses efficiently manage their customer service operations. The following three elements are mandatory before you can start using SAP Service Cloud Version 2:

Contract

  • The contract is the agreement between SAP and its Customer for using SAP Service Cloud Version 2. It specifies the terms and conditions, including pricing, service level agreements, and any specific arrangements between the parties.
  • You can purchase SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 and SAP Service Cloud Version 2 either in the same tenant or in different tenants.
  • While you acquire a production tenant, you'll need to purchase an additional tenant for testing purposes.

Tenant ID

SAP will provide a tenant URL for SAP Service Cloud Version 2. The tenant ID is a unique identifier used to differentiate your organization's data and configuration from others using the same application.

Note

The tenant provided includes both a test and a production instance.

User Credentials

  • With the signed contract, you have the right to access the Tenant ID using the initial user. The initial user serves as the basis for creating additional users within the system. It refers to the first user account created within your SAP Service Cloud Version 2 tenant.
  • This user usually has administrative privileges and acts as the main administrator for setting up and managing the system. The initial user can create additional user accounts, set access permissions and configure the solution based on your organization's needs.
