In this Unit, after discussing the Supply Planning run with Heuristics, we will introduce the concept of Switchable Constraints and then look at the details of Supply planning with Allocation Creation Run and Supply Planning with Order Confirmation Run.
Considering all network constraints, you can use the Supply planning process to create planned receipt elements.
The planning looks at the open order quantity of sales orders, fixed demands and receipts, forecast demands (considering their consumption by sales orders), and buffer stock. Supply planning takes records of fulfilled and unfulfilled sales orders and sales orders fulfilled late and provides the corresponding key figure values. Activating the corresponding option in the planning run profile also takes a record of forecast quantities that are fulfilled in time or late.
