Introduction and Overview: Building an App across SAP Business Suite

In today’s fast-paced business environment, agility and responsiveness are key. SAP Build empowers teams to rapidly develop and deploy tailored internal applications without extensive coding—bringing IT and business users closer than ever. This product trial is designed to showcase the ease and power of SAP Build through a hands-on, role-specific experience. Participants can complete one of six standalone guided exercises, each targeting a distinct Buying Center persona: CRO, CFO, CPO, COO, CHRO and CIO. These roles represent key stakeholders in any enterprise decision-making process, and each exercise has been designed with their unique functional needs in mind.

Exercise Overview

Participants will begin each exercise with a partially completed application template. Their task is to extend these apps to 100% functionality by adding predefined features using SAP Build intuitive no-code/low-code tools.

Highlights

• CRO – Customer Reference App: Provides access to available customer references and allows users to submit new ones.
• CFO – Sales Dashboard: Displays key sales metrics including product listings, sales types (discounted vs. non-discounted), and year-to-date volumes.
• CPO – Supplier Feedback App: Enables users to rate and comment on suppliers based on recent purchase orders.
• COO – Initiative Tracker: Tracks internal initiatives with statuses, owners, and submission functionality for new initiatives.
• CHRO – Kudos App: Allows employees to send and view peer appreciation messages in an interactive UI.
• CIO – License Tracker: Manages software licenses, displaying key information such as vendor, expiry date, and license status.

Each of the application units is a self-contained exercise with a duration of ~15 minutes. You can choose to go directly to the exercise you are interested from the workbook menu.

For the best learning experience our recommended working mode is a dual screen or side by side view of the workbook and SAP Build tool. This will allow you to easily work with the tool while executing the steps in the workbook.
