Supplier Feedback App - Before you get started

Motivation

The Supplier Feedback App serves a vital function within procurement operations by enabling organizations to systematically collect and analyze supplier performance data. In most procurement environments, supplier evaluations are often inconsistent, informal, or retroactively compiled—leading to delayed insights and missed opportunities for performance improvement. This app provides a structured, real-time feedback mechanism tied directly to individual purchase orders, allowing frontline users to rate suppliers on key criteria such as delivery timeliness, packaging quality, communication, and accuracy. The ability to submit ratings and comments shortly after receiving goods ensures feedback is timely and relevant. Furthermore, the app aggregates this data into a clear Supplier Overview screen, offering procurement professionals a consolidated view of performance trends and recurring issues. This empowers decision-makers with actionable insights to drive supplier development, mitigate risk, and strengthen sourcing strategies. By digitizing and standardizing the feedback process through an intuitive interface, the Supplier Feedback App enhances transparency, promotes accountability, and supports data-driven supplier management—demonstrating the tangible value of low-code tools like SAP Build in driving procurement excellence.

Application Overview

The Supplier Feedback App is a simple and user-friendly tool designed to allow user to submit reviews of a supplier based on recent purchase orders they have received. The app features two main screens:

1. Review Submission Screen: Users can select a specific Purchase Order (PO) from a dropdown list and rate the supplier on four key criteria:
   • On-time delivery
   • Quantity accuracy
   • Packaging quality
   • Communication

Ratings are chosen using numeric sliders with a scale of 1 to 10. There is also an input field for optional comments. Once the ratings and feedback are entered, users can submit the review using the Submit Feedback button.

2. Supplier Overview Screen: This screen displays the supplier’s average rating across the same performance criteria, along with a list of recent comments submitted by users. This provides a consolidated view of supplier performance over time, enabling better-informed procurement decisions.
