Exploring Statement Templates

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to explore statement templates.

Statement Template Main Concepts

Once the compensation cycle is complete, administrators can show the results to employees by publishing it to People Profile or Employee Central, another alternative is by printing a copy of the reward statement.

Publishing Data

Some customers choose to display compensation data on the SAP SuccessFactors employee profile (sometimes referred to as Live Profile). The setup of the employee profile is usually configured in a previous implementation.

Two options exist for publishing compensation data. Which one you will use depends on your configuration. If you are using Employee Central (EC) then you will select the Publish in Employee Central option without enabling the payComponentNonRecurring HRIS element in the business configuration. . Otherwise you should use Publish in Live Profile.

Selecting either of the options will display a page that offers two choices: a button to check if the compensations forms are completed, and a button to submit the data to be published.

Once published, the data can then be viewed by those with permissions to see the data.

The Publish options are highlighted in the Complete Compensation Cycle screen.

Compensation field data can be mapped and published to Metadata Framework (MDF) objects in your Total Compensation templates

The option to publish selected employees in the Metadata Framework is displayed.

Ignore Warnings When Publishing Data from Compensation to Employee Central

If you are publishing compensation results to Employee Central, you can choose to ignore the warnings generated during the publishing process. This gives you additional control when running the publish job.

To enable the option to ignore warnings:

  1. Open Compensation Home.
  2. Select Actions for All PlansCompany Settings.
  3. Enable the option Ignore warnings when publishing from Compensation to Employee Central.
The Ignore warnings option is highlighted in the Advanced Settings screen.

Summary

  • Flexible Publishing Options: Administrators can display compensation data by publishing to People Profile or Employee Central, or by providing printed reward statements, depending on organizational configuration preferences.

  • Configuration Dependent: Customers using Employee Central can publish directly without specific configuration changes, whereas others should use Live Profile; accessibility is granted to users with permissions.

  • Controlled Publishing Process: The system offers tools to check form completion, submit data for publishing, and accept warnings during the publish process for enhanced administrative control.
