- BI Launch Pad User Settings:
- Users can change locally their BI Launch Pad settings by clicking on the User icon (visible on the upper right-hand corner of the BI Launch Pad once you've logged in). The Settings tab is available to make changes.
- The user can change locally Account Preferences like page preferences (landing page, tabs to display, locale and time zone), Application Preferences (web intelligence, crystal reports) and Appearance (theme).

User Account Preferences
In the Account Preferences area of the Settings page in BI Launch Pad, user can change:
- Page Preferences (BI Launch Pad landing page)
- Page Customization (BI Launch Pad tabs)
- Locale and Time Zone (B Launch Pad locale and time zone)
- Use Administrator Provided Settings option (Page Preferences):
- As a BI Launch Pad user, you could want to customize your own page preferences by setting a new landing page and a new maximum number of items displayed per page.
- To do these changes, you have to first toggle off the Use Administrator Provided Settings button in the Page Preferences of your account preferences from BI Launch Pad once you've logged in. Then you can access and change your landing page preferences.
- These changes affect only your own user account and not the other user accounts.
- Your customized landing page will be taken in account and displayed once logged again in BI Launch Pad with your user account.


- Use Administrator Provided Settings option (Page Preferences):
- By default, the Use Administrator Provided Settings button is toggled on.
- That means your landing page preferences does not use local settings, but global settings which are managed centrally by an administrator at the user group level in CMC.

- Fiori BI Launch Pad Preferences in CMC:
- If you want to change landing page preferences for a collection of users in one shot (globally), admin preferences can be set by an administrator at the group level in CMC.
- Administrators can change globally BI Launch Pad settings for a user group in CMC. Administrator has to choose a group from User and Groups, right-click on it and select Fiori BI Launch Pad Preferences to set up some admin preferences for this group.

In the Fiori BI Launch Pad Preferences page of the group, administrator can change globally the Fiori BI Launchpad Start Page (home tab, page customization), select columns to display and choose to override admin preferences.
- Fiori BI Launch Pad Preferences in CMC:
- Administrator could want to customize the Fiori BI Launch Pad start page for Sales Managers group members by setting up a new landing page and display specific tabs.
- To do these changes, administrator has to first deselect the No Preferences Defined option in the Fiori BI Launch Pad Preferences for the Sales Managers group in CMC. Then administrator will be able to access and customize start page preferences for this group.
- If No Preferences Defined option is selected in the Fiori BI Launch Pad Preferences (by default), that means default settings will be used as admin preferences.

To take in account the admin preferences in the BI Launch Pad user session, do not forget to check that the Use Administrator Provided Settings button is toggled on in the Page Preferences for the user account preferences in BI Launch Pad. User can switch back at any time between local or global settings in BI Launch Pad.
These changes will affect all members of this group (globally). Your customized landing page will be displayed once logged into BI Launch Pad with your user credentials.

- Override admin preferences in CMC:
- In CMC, administrator can decide whether to allow users to override their admin preferences from BI Launch Pad.
- By default, all group members are allowed to override their admin preferences from BI Launch Pad, meaning that users can access the Use Administrator Provided Settings button in the BI Launch Pad settings page by default.
- If users are not allowed to override admin preferences by administrators in CMC, users won't be able to access this button and admin preferences (global) will be applied in the BI Launch Pad's user session.
