Adding Content Elements to Lesson

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to build diverse lesson content by combining multiple instructional elements such as text, images, videos, screen recordings, simulations, self-checks, embedded content, and attachments to deliver engaging learning experiences.

WalkMe Learning Arc's Lesson Elements

Each course or lesson can include a mix of elements. You can drag and drop different content types to add explanations, examples, or practice activities. Each element has a specific role in presenting information and supporting different learning needs.

The following image shows the elements of the WalkMe Learning Arc.

Learning Assets Library divider

The Learning Assets page is a builder's central hub for managing and reusing media and simulation files across all learning content. It helps them keep content organized, avoid duplicate uploads, and maintain consistency across lessons and courses. Assets stored here can be added to microlearning units, courses, quizzes, and simulations. Any file a builder uploads, whether from a course or directly on the page, will appear in the assets library for easy access.

The left sidebar displays navigation options including Favorites and Recent items, with 'SAP Enable Now' listed. The main content area shows multiple thumbnail previews of PDFs and images organized by Type, Category, and Created by filters. Visible assets include legal guidelines, vendor invoices, images of people in professional settings, and instructional graphics. A context menu is open showing options to Move to folder, Replace, Download, Rename, Copy URL, and Delete. File sizes range from 217 KB to 2.31 MB. A blue 'Learning Asset' button and 'Migrate SAP Enable Now' option appear in the top right corner.

Now that you can author content in WalkMe Learning Arc, let’s build on that skill by creating Simulations.

Summary

Let's summarize what you have learned:

  • Versatile Instructional Elements: WalkMe Learning Arc provides a variety of content types, including text, images, videos, and attachments, which can be dragged and dropped to build comprehensive lessons.
  • Interactive Practice and Validation: Creators can use Simulations to offer hands-on practice in a guided environment and Self-Check elements to provide non-graded quizzes for understanding.
  • Interactive Practice and Validation: The platform supports dynamic content delivery through screen recordings of workflows and the ability to record videos directly within the tool.
  • Integration with External Content: Builders can embed third-party websites and tools directly into lessons or insert transitioned content specifically from SAP Enable Now.
  • AI-Driven Efficiency: AI tools can generate new elements—such as images, text, or self-checks—based on existing content to accelerate the authoring process and maintain consistency.
  • Centralized Asset Management: The Learning Assets Library serves as a unified hub for managing and reusing media files, ensuring organization and preventing duplicate uploads across different courses.
