Formatting Reports

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to apply display, appearance, and layout settings to enhance report readability and presentation in a Web Intelligence document.

Format Reports

To view formatting settings, select a report and then select the Report Element Format tab.

Display Settings

  • General section: Description.
  • Layout section: Report header, Report footer.
  • Hide section: Hide always, Hide when formula is true.

Appearance Settings

  • Background section: No color, Color.
  • Background section \ Pattern sub-section: None, Skin, URL, File, Linear Gradient.
  • Hyperlink section: Visited, Unvisited.
  • Borders section: Border color, Border styles, Border thickness, All borders, No border, Border top Border left, Border bottom, Border right.

Layout Settings

  • Quick Display Mode section: Rows, Columns.
  • Print Layout section: Size, Orientation.
  • Print Layout section \ Margins sub-section: Top, Bottom, Left, Right.
  • Print Layout section \ Scaling sub-section: Adjust to, Fit to.
