Managing Metadata Models in SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to manage metadata models in SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace.

Model Configuration

SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace provides the Manage Models app to configure and manage metadata models for Global Track and Trace. This model acts as the schema for tracked processes. By default, Global Track and Trace delivers a standard model named "gttft1". The structure of the model is outlined as follows:

  • The various functions in the Manage Models app help you manage the lifecycle of the model, including creating new Global Track and Trace models from scratch or even using parts of an existing model.
  • The model components help define the granular elements, such as event types or fields that make up the model’s schema.
  • Each model can either be in a draft or deployed state. There is a runtime view in the deployed state that gives access to Write and Read APIs in Global Track and Trace. You can also find the specifications for Write and Read APIs in this view.
Diagram summarizes functions, components, and states involved in SAP model management using labeled boxes for categories and actions.
