Defining Field Labels and Visibility

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to identify the field labels associated in each section.

Field Labels and Visibility

The column labels and visibility are determined in Plan setupDesign WorksheetConfigure labels and visibility.

The Configure Labels and Visibility screen is displayed.

The fields are segregated by sections:

  • Assignment section do not include fields from Employee History data. Visibility and order of the Employee history fields are defined in the data model.
  • Business goals section include all fields in the business calculation.
  • Business goal performance include the goal metrics.
  • Team and Individual performance sections include the Performance rating information.
  • Total section refers to the entry level fields or the aggregate fields.

When using Field-based permission, visibility for custom groups will also be available as an option.

Summary

  • Setup for Column Labels and Visibility: Column labels and visibility are managed via Plan Setup → Design Worksheet → Configure Labels and Visibility. This screen allows for the customization of how data is presented on the worksheet.

  • Assignment Section: Within the Configure Labels and Visibility screen, the Assignment section does not include Employee History data fields; instead, visibility and order of these fields are specified in the data model.

  • Business Goals and Performance Sections: The Business Goals section encompasses all fields involved in business calculations and includes goal metrics. Team and Individual performance sections contain Performance rating information, while the Total section refers to entry-level or aggregate fields.

  • Custom Group Visibility: When utilizing field-based permissions, there is an option to configure visibility for custom groups, making it possible to tailor data access and viewability according to specific criteria.
