Bonus plans define the weight of the bonus components (business, team. individual) to properly calculate incentive payments. The bonus plan can be created by using an import file or directly added in the admin interface. The bonus plan is generally created during initial implementation and does not need to be reimported unless there is a change to the component weight.
Import File
The bonus plan file consists of many fields most important are the bonus plan name and the eligibility rule columns.
- Entries in the Bonus Plan column should be the same as entries in the Goal Weights File in order for the business goals to be shown on each incentive plan.
- Entries in the eligibility rule column should match the entries in the Eligibility File.
Create via Admin Interface
A Bonus Plan can also be created directly within the user interface without importing the comma-separated value file. However, if any of the bonus plan requires a bonus cap, the plan has to be imported. The eligibility rule has to be created prior to bonus plan creation as well.
