KPI's
Objective
A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. Organizations use KPIs to evaluate their success at reaching targets.
Create Key Performance Indictors
- In the Main Menu bar select Files > My Files, then select your model PnL_Admin (or the model you copied PnL_Admin_NEW_).

- Select the Edit Dimension Table icon in the Type column for Admin_COA (or Admin_COA if using copied model).

- First select the Switch display mode to grid icon, then to append a new Member to the the data table, click the Add + icon in the main toolbar.

- Using the member panel on the right, add the following values to the table:

- Repeat the data entry process to add account Gross Margin %.

In the Member Panel, under Calculations, type pl into the editor (Note that the formula editor presents you with all members starting with pl) then select [PL300] Gross Margin.

Then type “/” and “pl” again, and select [PL100] Total Sales.

You have now created a calculation for this new KPI.
- Repeat the same data entry steps as before to add another account Operating Margin %.

- You should now have the following additional members in your model.

- Save your updated Model by clicking the Save icon (you will get a notification at the bottom of the screen informing you that it has saved successfully)
