Exploring Templates

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to explore and analyze the Sample Import Templates in Concur Travel.

Import Tool Data Formats

Once you select Import Data, the Manage Import Tool Tasks page appears. From here, you can access all available import templates.

To access the templates, select Import formats samples.

After you select Import format samples, the Import Tool Data Formats page appears. You import data using excel spreadsheets saved as XML. There are several templates available to import different types of data.

To access a template, simply select the Download link for the appropriate template.

Review the following graphic and corresponding table to learn more about the different import templates and their data types.

CBAs to Org UnitsAssign a CBA to one or more org units.
Centrally Billed AccountsAdd, update, or delete centrally billed accounts (CBAs) in Concur Government Edition (CGE).

Considerations on Import Data

  • Do not change the names of the columns and worksheet tabs in the template or delete any columns, unless instructed to do so.
  • Each template has an instruction tab with information and examples of completing it, and many sections in the template will also allow you to remove data.
  • Data Import can use Excel spreadsheets saved as XML Spreadsheet (*.xml) data.
