Managing the Category Spend Profile
The Category Spend Profile includes four optional cards that summarize and visually represent the category's spending data, which is integrated with SAP Analytics Cloud. The cards are as follows:
- Spend by Quarter: Displays total spending for a category along with a line chart representing quarterly spending.
- Spend by Subcategory: Provides a pie chart showcasing spending data for subcategories.
- Spend by Supplier: Features a bar chart displaying spending data for the top five suppliers.
- Spend by Region: Presents a bar chart with spending data categorized by region.
The category manager administrator can configure the projected spending data in the Manage Configuration app for a specific period. If no period is selected, the cards will automatically show the spending data for the last twelve months. The category manager can analyze the category spend data at a detailed level through the SAP Analytics Cloud story dashboard.
To access the Category Spend Profile, users can click on the card header, select Open Category Spend Profile within the Category Segmentation card, or find it under Quick Links in an approved strategy and plan document within the Monitor Strategy Execution app.
Once a document has been submitted for approval, the data is locked, and the charts remain unchanged. The data can be refreshed only if the approved document is edited, in which case the modified document must be resubmitted for approval.
