The SAP Business Accelerator Hub (formerly SAP API Business Hub) is a public catalog providing integration and extension resources. These assets are developed by SAP and its partner ecosystem, primarily using SAP Business Technology Platform tools and services.
APIs on the SAP Business Accelerator Hub use the Open API format, a vendor-neutral standard that simplifies connecting SAP applications to non-SAP systems. To ensure stability, SAP requires all content to follow a deprecation policy that governs versioning, compatibility, and applicability.
If you cannot find a suitable SAP Best Practices integration scenario in SAP Signavio Process Navigator or the SAP Help Portal, you should consider a custom development approach.
As a line of business (LoB) implementation consultant, you are not responsible for developing the custom integration itself. However, you should use your expertise to identify relevant resources in the SAP Business Accelerator Hub that developers can use to build the required integration or extension.
These "customer-driven" integrations require involvement from the customer's developers during design and construction. This ensures they understand the integration architecture and can effectively maintain and monitor the content through future release upgrades.
Since customer developers may be unfamiliar with the prebuilt resources available, your role as a consultant is to share this information. You must also track the progress of integration requirements documented in SAP Cloud ALM from the Fit-to-Standard workshops until they are fully resolved.

SAP Fiori Apps for Accessing SAP BTP Applications and Services
When sourcing prebuilt content from the SAP Business Accelerator Hub, integration experts or developers typically use the following SAP Fiori apps in SAP S/4HANA Cloud to establish connections and enable user access:
- Custom Communication Scenarios: Use this app to define inbound and outbound services. These scenarios serve as the foundation for creating communication arrangements.
- Enterprise Event Enablement: This app allows you to publish events from SAP S/4HANA Cloud via Business Event Handling. These events can then be consumed by applications on SAP Business Technology Platform using the SAP Event Mesh service. Note that the Business Event Handling (1NN) process must be activated in SAP Central Business Configuration.
- Maintain Extensions on SAP BTP: Use this app to connect or disable extensions running on SAP Business Technology Platform within your SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.
- Custom Tiles: Create custom tiles for the SAP Fiori launchpad to provide users with direct access to external applications or websites.
- Custom Catalog Extensions: After creating a custom tile, assign it to a custom business catalog and then to a business role to grant user access. To make the tile visible, you must also add it to a specific space and page; otherwise, users can only find the app via the enterprise search.
