Defining the Scope Using Pre-Delivered Content

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to define the project scope using pre-delivered content.

Defining the Project Scope

In this lesson, you will learn how to use pre-delivered content to perform data validation.

What is Pre-delivered Content?

SAP offers this extensive list of SAP reports and transactions as pre-delivered content, meaning you will get these alongside the data validation tool.

It includes reports from different functional areas such as the following:

  • Asset Accounting
  • Cost Accounting
  • Financial Accounting
  • Material Management
  • Plant Maintenance
  • Production Planning
  • Quality Assurance
  • Sales & Distribution
  • Warehouse Management

You can add any of these reports to your test specification to validate the data before and after conversion.

Note

Besides these pre-delivered reports, you can also use custom and custom namespace reports with ALV output.

Create Test Specifications within The Project

In the next exercise, you will select and import a few reports. The tool will then incorporate these reports as test specifications within the project for the selected business area.

Import the latest Pre-delivered content

You can use the data transition delivery tool's import feature to ensure you have the most recent version of this pre-delivered content.

You will perform this procedure in the following exercise.

Summary

After this lesson, you can select the desired pre-delivered reports and use them as test specifications.
