Using Integrated Viewer and Office Integration

Product visualization is an integral component in modern business software solutions. SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer provides visualization as a permanently available and fully integrated solution component. The viewing functionality is always available to enable the visualization of parts and assemblies when working on tasks within a business process.

With SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, you can extend correct and uniform product data across the complete enterprise by publishing 2D images and 3D scenes on all industry-standard desktop applications. You can improve the quality of internal and external communication as well as collaboration processes.

For a comprehensive viewing experience, SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer provides an extensive range of functions. These functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Pull-apart and reassembly functions integrated directly in 3D scenes

• Angle and distance measurements, including measurements between vertices, edges, and faces, as well as the determination of arc centers

• Display of cross-sectional views

• Alteration of render modes

• Zooming, panning, flying through, rotating, and walking through scenes

• Display of parts lists associated with 3D scenes

• Playback of steps, procedures, and 3D animations

• Loading and rendering CGM files

If you edit MS Office files, you can do this outside of the document. It's a normal file edit process.

As an alternative you can use MS Office Integration to perform this inside a document info record. However, this can only happen in the SAP GUI.
