Configuring Finished Product Shipment Material

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to analyze the purpose and key components of configuring finished product shipment material.

Introduction

You will learn how to configure finished product shipment material in the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution. This application allows you to associate finished product shipment material with therapy, material type and group combinations, country, processing plant, and patient weight requirements, which plays a key role in the manufacturing process.

Finished Product Shipment Material

In the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution, this application can be found under the Configuration tab or use Configure Finished Product Shipment Material in the open search section to access it. This application provides you with the additional information we can associate the Finished Product Shipment material with Therapy, Material Type and Material Group Combination, Country, Processing Plant and Min and Max Patient weight. This entry plays a key role in Plant determination during Manufacturing process.

Configuring Finished Product Shipment Material

Click on Create as pointed to in the figure above on how to create a new entry.

The Configuration consists of the following

  • Unique ID of 40 characters
  • Therapy from Manage Therapy
  • Material Group/Type from 'Configure Material Type and Material Group Combinations'
  • Country/Region
  • Processing plant where the manufacturing activity takes place
  • Minimum and Maximum weight of the patient with unit of measure
  • Clinical randomization
  • Material representing the finished product shipment material

Activation and Deactivation

When a new finished product shipment material is saved, the status is set to Active by default. At any point in time, the finished product shipment material entry can be deactivated by providing the right Deactivation Reason and optional comments. In the same way, deactivated entries can be activated by providing the right Activation Reason.
