You will learn how to configure status profiles in the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution. You can create new profiles, define initial and allowed statuses, and manage profile activation/deactivation. This allows you to track progress by controlling the status flow for different processes.
Configuring Status Profiles
Objective
Introduction
Status Profiles
In the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution, this application can be found under the Configuration tab or use Configure Status Profiles in the open search section to access it. This application allows the creation of status profiles that can direct the system with initial status and the allowed upcoming statuses. A status profile is a series of user statuses logically grouped together in one profile and it provides the overview of the statuses needed to set to track the progress in a field.

Configuring Status Profiles
Click on Create as pointed out in the figure above on how to create a new entry.
The Configuration consists of the following:
- An unique ID of 10 characters
- Description of 250 characters
The mapping of the status profile is used to display the status to assign the display status to status profile by marking the initial status.

The source for this display status is the Configure User Status application, which can be explained in the upcoming lesson. The mapping of the display status to next status is the setup to restrict the next and previous statuses - for example, if the current status is Created the next statuses allowed are In Progress or Order canceled or Complete and no other status is allowed.

Activation and Deactivation
When a new status profile is saved, the status is set to Active by default. At any point in time, the status profile can be deactivated by providing the right Deactivation Reason, optional comments, and reviewing the Where used list. In the same way, deactivated entries can be activated by providing the right Activation Reason.
