You can add thresholds to measures in tables, including calculated and restricted measures.

In this lesson add thresholds to the table, to highlight the increase and decrease of the selected account.
After completing the lesson, your story (in edit mode) should look similar to:

Prerequisites
You have completed the following units and lessons:
- Getting Started with SAP Analytics Cloud
- Create your Story
- Add Numeric Point Charts
- Add Time Series Chart
- Add Table
- Add Geo Map
- Explored Data with Just Ask
- Linked Analysis and Input Controls
- Add Variances
If you did not complete the prerequisite units, you can continue from a pre-created sample story.
Please create a copy of MyStory - Select - Thresholds in your private My Files folder.
- From the Navigation Bar click Files, and search for MyStory - Select - Thresholds.

- Check the box, and click the Copy To icon from the Files Toolbar.

Save a copy to your private folder.
- Click on My Files and name your story with your username _MyStory, update Description, then click OK.

Add Threshold Symbols
Add a threshold number range to the finance table. Use the story-defined symbols and colors for the threshold ranges.
Open your story in edit mode if not already.

Locate _MyStory from the navigation bar at Files > My Files, or Stories > Recent Files.

Select Edit.

Select the Table.

Right click on the Delta cell, select Add Threshold, then + New Threshold.

The Thresholds panel opens on the right.
Within Thresholds, you can create a threshold based on a number range or against another measure. In our case, we are interested in a number range.
- Add 0 in the Min range input.
All values greater than 0 will be considered OK.
- Click + Add Range to add another range.

- From the label dropdown select Critical, and enter 0 as the Max range.
All values less than 0 will be considered Critical.

- Click Apply.

- Quality Check: Does your table look like this?

Change to Threshold Values
Change how the threshold is displayed, and use color values instead of symbols.
For the widget, you only see the styling options for the specific area that you have highlighted. For example the different areas are, Title cell, Header region, and Data cell. Selecting a different part of the widget changes the heading and the styling options.
- Open the Right Side Panel (Builder / Styling) from the View menu in the main toolbar, if not already open.

- Click on the Delta cell in the table, then click on the Styling tab for access to the Data Cell styling options.

- In the Styling tab, expand Threshold Style, and select Color Values.

Click on Order Date to deselect the Delta cell.

Save your story.
