Creating and Managing Applicant Statuses

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create applicant statuses and status groups.

Applicant Statuses

The Applicant Status designates where the candidate is in the selection workflow. The status includes any reasons for rejection or decline. Email notifications to the candidate and the users involved in the process can be triggered by updating the candidate's status.

You can establish the different statuses you want to be available for managing candidates with your consultant. Different statuses are configured within the three categories of system statuses:

  • In-Process statuses
  • Disqualification statuses
  • Onboarding statuses

You can associate an email template for each status to alert the candidate or internal staff of progress and set a priority for each status.

This screenshot shows the Application Status Settings screen.

Applicant Status Groups

Within the candidate selection workflow, you can add new status groups with sub-statuses to further define your workflow.

For example, under disqualified status, you can add sub-statuses to track candidates' progress.

Once selected, these statuses will appear in a drop-down menu under the status group title on the pipeline.

This screenshot shows a candidate selection workflow with an example of sub-statuses set up under the disqualified status.
