Structure of Information System

The report categories subdivide the menu tree on the first level according to common reporting needs. For consistency and transparency, each menu tree is structured according to the same report categories.
The report category is structured according to the report contents. In previous releases, the detailed reports for product costs by period used Report Painter reports and Report Writer reports. These reports are now generated using SAP List Viewer.
Use of Reporting Techniques

In the CO-PC-IS, you can use different reporting tools.
Every reporting tool has its own features and range of applications.
Using transaction SE93, you can create a report transaction code for user defined reports. You need the program name for the report transaction (which you can copy using the function STATUS when executing a report in the module) to which you want to create an own report. Additionally, you can assign a selection variant to the new report transaction code.
Using transaction SE43, you can assign own reports to the area menu.
