Add and Run Data Action
Objective

If your copy of Admin_StoryRebates is not already open, navigate to Main Menu > Files > My Files, then select your copy of Admin_StoryRebates to open it.

Select Edit to allow changes to the Story.

- Under the Insert toolbar, select the + icon, then select Starters > Data Action Starter.

In the Builder panel, enter the following information for the Data Action Starter:

Label: Calculate Rebates
-
Description: Calculate Rebates
-
Data Action (dropdown): Admin_DA_Rebates
-
Target Version Input: Leave as default “Prompt”

- Position the Data Action Starter button on top of the PnL table by dragging and dropping it.

- Select the Save icon to save the Story.

- Select View to put the Story in View mode.

In the Input Controls select the following:
- Date - Jan (Q1/2020)
- Products - Sun (under First Person Star)

Click Apply Selections under both Input Controls after each selection to update the data in the table with your selections.

- Enter 0.10 (10%) in the Rebate % account for United States and hit the return key.

- Select the Run button on the Calculate Rebates Data Action Starter.

- Click the Select Target Version icon.

- Select Forecast as the Target Version. Then click OK.

- Select the Run button.

- You can see that the Rebates account has been filled in and has been calculated based on the assumption of 10% that we entered earlier in the Rebate % cell for the United States.
