Build Story
Objective
After completing this lesson, you will be able to build a Story
- Select Main Menu > Stories.

- Select the Canvas tile to create a new Canvas page.

- Drag and drop the Table widget from the list of Assets to the main canvas.

- In the Select Model dialog box that appears, click Select other Model…

- Navigate to My Files then select your model PnL_Admin_XXX

- In the Builder panel, under Rows select the Filter icon for Accounts.

- Select the members Net Income and Rebate % as the filters for Accounts. Then select OK.

- Select the More Options icon for Account, then select Unbooked Data.

- Under Columns select + Add Dimensions.

- Select Organization.

- Select the Filter icon under Organization.

- Expand World and then each continent drop-down listed in the available member filters, then select each of the available countries individually (as shown in the screenshot). Then select OK.

- Select the More Options icon for Organization - then select Unbooked Data.

- Under Filters select Version.

- De-select Actual and select Forecast. Then click OK

- Your table should look like this after expanding each row and resizing the table.

- We will now create Input Controls to allow us to filter the data. In the Insert toolbar, select the Input Control icon.

- Click on Dimensions.

- Select Date.

- Select Date (Dimension) > Filter by Member…

- Under Available Time Intervals select (all) and then select OK.

- Select the Input Control icon again to insert a second Input Control on the page. Then select Dimensions.

- Select Products.

- Select Products (Dimension) > Filter by Member….

- Under Available Members select All Products Lines and then select OK.

Resize the Input Controls by selecting and dragging the bottom right-hand corner of the Input Control down. Expand the dropdowns within the control boxes to see each available selection.

Your finished table should look like this.

- Save your Story by selecting the Save icon under File, then Save.

- In the Save Story dialog, Select My Files and enter the name Admin_StoryRebates. Then click Save.

- Select Main Menu > Stories.

- Select the Canvas tile to create a new Canvas page.

- Drag and drop the Table widget from the list of Assets to the main canvas.

- In the Select Model dialog box that appears, click Select other Model…

- Navigate to My Files then select your model PnL_Admin_XXX

- In the Builder panel, under Rows select the Filter icon for Accounts.

- Select the members Net Income and Rebate % as the filters for Accounts. Then select OK.

- Select the More Options icon for Account, then select Unbooked Data.

- Under Columns select + Add Dimensions.

- Select Organization.

- Select the Filter icon under Organization.

- Expand World and then each continent drop-down listed in the available member filters, then select each of the available countries individually (as shown in the screenshot). Then select OK.

- Select the More Options icon for Organization - then select Unbooked Data.

- Under Filters select Version.

- De-select Actual and select Forecast. Then click OK

- Your table should look like this after expanding each row and resizing the table.

- We will now create Input Controls to allow us to filter the data. In the Insert toolbar, select the Input Control icon.

- Click on Dimensions.

- Select Date.

- Select Date (Dimension) > Filter by Member…

- Select the Input Control icon again to insert a second Input Control on the page. Then select Dimensions.

- Select Products.

- Select Products (Dimension) > Filter by Member….

- Under Available Members select All Products Lines and then select OK.
