Adding Charts
Objective
Now let’s look at how we can also add charts directly to a story without using the data explorer mode

Using the story we have created already, select the Left Side Panel button.

Drag and drop the Chart widget into the story.

- Under Accounts select + At least 1 Account required

- Navigate down through Accounts > Net Income > Operating Income > Gross Margin

Select outside the dropdown selection box to close the dropdown.

Under Dimensions select + Add Dimension.

- Select the Products checkbox.

Within the generated chart, select the All Product Lines blue bar.

Select the Drill Down option.

Select Products.

- Under Currently Selected Chart, choose Combination Column & Line chart type.

Under Color, select the dropdown by the Color Palette.

Select the highlighted Color Palette.


- Sort the products in the report by Gross Margin by selecting More Actions > Sort > Gross Margin > Highest to Lowest.


- Select File and then the Save Icon to save the Story.
