Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to responsive Report

SAP Analytics Cloud Responsive Page employs a grid-based layout system, where widgets snap into place, providing a consistent design across different screen sizes and orientations.

  1. Select the Main Menu icon in the top left.

  1. Select Stories and select Responsive.

  1. In the Assets panel on the left of the screen, drag and drop the Table widget onto the Story canvas area.

  1. Leave the Existing Model radio button selected, then choose Select other model… from the open drop-down menu.

  1. Follow the file path My Files > Public > Experience Academy - SAC Planning > Models then choose PnL_CH1.

This is a multi-dimensional model that has already been populated with Dimensions (some with hierarchies), Measures and Versions.

Note

The table is populated with data from the selected model.

  1. Expand Net Income, then Operating Income by clicking on the arrow “>”.

The following will be displayed in the table.

The panel to the right allows you to control the properties of the selected object (
  1. Under Columns, click + Add Dimensions.

  1. Select Date by clicking on the checkbox to the left of it.

  1. Expand (all) in the Grid Column by selecting the arrow next to Date.

Note : You now see the data values spread over the years 2018, 2019 and 2020.

  1. In the Builder, hover over the Date dimension in Columns - you will see a filter icon appear:

  2. Select on the filter icon.

  3. Select Filter by Member.

  1. Select 2019 and 2020.

  2. Select OK.

  1. You’ll see the grid now only shows 2019 and 2020.

  1. Remove Date Dimension from the Columns by selecting X.

You will notice that the Filter is still valid for 2019 and 2020, and the data has been consolidated for both years. The filter is now shown in the

  1. Select + Add Dimensions under Columns.

  2. Select Organization.

  1. Expand the arrow icon beside World to show the geographical breakdown of the data.

  1. Select on Page 1, select the down arrow, and select Edit Title.

  1. Enter “Net Income Report” as the new page name and hit the return key.

  2. Select on the Save icon.

  1. Name the report Admin_FirstReport.

  1. Select Save when finished. This saves our initial story.

Note: The report is now saved in your personal My Files folder.

  1. In the table, expand the Accounts Net Income, then Operating Income.
