Run Allocation

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to the objective of this lessons is to run the allocation.

Navigate Main menu > Files > My Files.
Open Story Admin_FirstReport.

Select the tab Profit.
Ensuring that you are in View mode, select the table and select the Version Management button.

Note

The Version Management panel will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

Select the copy icon in the Actual row under Public Versions.

Enter ProductProfit in the Version Name field and select OK.

Note

The new version is available under

Select Close to close Version Management.
Select Edit.

To add the Data Action to the report, under Insert follow the menu path: + Insert > Starter > Data Action Starter.

Note

The Data Actions settings appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

Enter Run Allocation in the Label field and the Description field.
Choose PnL_AdminXXX_Process1 from the Data Action dropdown.

Select the table to edit the properties of the table in the Builder.
Select Version (2) under Filters.
Ensure that only ProductProfit is selected and select OK.

Save your story by Selecting File > Save.
Select View to view the report.

Select Run Allocation.

Choose the Select button to see a list of available versions.

Choose ProductProfit from the list of available versions and select OK.

Select Run.

Note

Notice the updated fields in the table.
