Creating Rulesets and Properties

Rulesets Creation and Properties in RVC Configurator

Introduction

This lesson describes the steps to configure rulesets for Decomposer of Requirements Valuation Cockpit (RVC) by CENIT.

Configuring Rulesets

Rulesets can be configured by following the steps listed here:

  1. Click on Rulesets card.
  2. Click on Create.
  3. Enter the specific rule set name.
  4. Confirm with Create.

Note

@all is the initially delivered rule set and it is used as the default rule set of RVC. Rules defined for the rule set @all are executed on decompositions, in case no similar rule exists in the configured rule set.

Configuring Properties

Properties can be configured by following the steps listed here:

  1. Navigate to the Properties card.
  2. Click on Create.
  3. Enter the property name.
  4. Enter a code to associate to the property. Please note that this code needs to be unique.
  5. Click on Create under the Values section to add values to the property.
  6. Enter a value.
  7. Select the criticality associated with that value.
  8. Confirm with Create.

Configuring Property Values

Values of existing properties can be configured by following the steps listed here:

  1. Navigate to the Properties card.
  2. Click on a property.
  3. Click on Edit.
  4. Change the items under the Values section according to your preference.
  5. Confirm with Save.
