Introduction

Imagine you're managing a complex project involving numerous requirements and stakeholders. Keeping track of progress, ensuring timely completion, and validating results can be challenging. The Requirements Valuation Cockpit (RVC) by CENIT offers a centralized solution to streamline these processes, but understanding the roles and responsibilities of Project Managers and Account Managers within the RVC is crucial for its effective utilization. This lesson will clarify the specific tasks each role undertakes, enabling you to optimize your project management workflow.

Tasks for Project Managers

During the valuation of the requirements through internal Subject Matter Experts of Departments and as well external Subject Matter Experts of Suppliers or clarification through the Requestor, the Project Manager wants to monitor due date, rate of completion and rate of fulfillment of the Requirements project in real time and directly wants to view other important project specific information as well.

Therefore, the Project Manager customizes the project view of RVC once according to individual needs. After Subject Matter Experts of Departments have submitted their valuated requirements, it is up to the Project Manager to validate the requirements and accept the valuation.

For critical requirements which require alternative solution, the Project Manager can collaborate with the Requestor to get an approval for the alternative solution. After all requirements are finally processed, the Project Manager hands over the requirements project to the Account Manager.

Tasks for Account Managers

Until the requirements project is not handed over, the Account Manager wants to monitor due date, rate of completion and rate of fulfillment of the requirements project in real time and directly wants to view other important project specific information as well.

Therefore, the Account Manager customizes the project view of RVC once according to individual needs. After the requirements project has been handed over by the Project Manager, the Account Manager starts creating the results for the Requestor using relevant requirements and finally closes the requirements project.
