Preparing SAP Build Work Zone as a common entry point

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create the necessary destination to connect from SAP Build Work Zone to Requirements Valuation cockpit (RVC).

Configuration Application in SAP Build Work Zone to add RVC apps and Destination set up.

Introduction

In today's interconnected business environment, having a unified access point for various applications is crucial. This lesson will guide you through setting up SAP Build Work Zone as a central launchpad for Requirements Valuation Cockpit (RVC) by CENIT applications and SAP Integrated Product Development (IPD), streamlining user access and enhancing overall efficiency.

Destination Configuration

The destination to connect to RVC service from SAP Fiori Launchpad needs to be in the sub-account under your company’s SAP BTP global account.

  1. In the web browser, log on to the SAP BTP cockpit, and choose the relevant sub account.
  2. In the left panel, under Connectivity, choose Destinations.
  3. Search for the destination with name RVC_app.
    1. If the destination exists, ensure that the configuration is as shown in the following screenshot.
    2. If the destination does not exist, choose New Destination, and under Destination Configuration, enter the destination details as shown in the following screenshot.
  4. Save your changes.

Trusted Domain Configuration

To include RVC apps in SAP Fiori Launchpad, the URL of the SAP Fiori Launchpad needs to be declared as a trusted domain in your company’s subaccount under CENIT’s SAP BTP global account.

To configure the SAP Fiori Launchpad as a trusted domain follow the steps in Configure Trusted Domains for Multi-Environment Subaccounts.

Application Configuration for Requirements Valuation Cockpit in SAP Build Work Zone

Requirements Valuation Cockpit application needs to be set up in SAP Build Work Zone with the following settings:
