Provisioning Requirements Valuation Cockpit

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to configure RVC settings on an SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) consumer subaccount.

Subscription to RVC, requesting user-role assignment from CENIT and Destinations Creation

Introduction

This lesson focuses on provisioning Requirements Valuation Cockpit (RVC) by CENIT on a SAP BTP sub-account.

Destination for RVC Settings

The destination to configure the basic settings for RVC needs to be in your company’s sub-account under CENIT’s SAP BTP global account.

  1. In the web browser, log on to the SAP BTP cockpit, and choose the relevant sub account.
  2. In the left panel, under Connectivity, choose Destinations.
  3. Search for the destination with name RVC_srv.
    1. If the destination exists, ensure that the configuration is as shown in the screenshot below.
    2. If the destination does not exist, choose New Destination, and under Destination Configuration, enter the destination details as shown in the screenshot below.
  4. Save your changes.

Destination for SAP Authorization and Trust Management

The destination to connect to SAP Authorization and Trust Management service needs to be in your company’s sub-account under CENIT’s SAP BTP global account.

  1. In the web browser, log on to the SAP BTP cockpit, and choose the relevant sub account.
  2. In the left panel, under Connectivity, choose Destinations.
  3. Search for the destination with name RVC_SAPXSUAA.
    1. If the destination exists, ensure that the configuration is as shown in the screenshot below.
    2. If the destination does not exist, choose New Destination, and under Destination Configuration, enter the destination details as shown in the screenshot below.
  4. Save your changes.

Destination for Email Server

The destination to connect to the email server from RVC needs to be in your company’s sub-account under CENIT’s SAP BTP global account.

  1. In the web browser, log on to the SAP BTP cockpit, and choose the relevant sub-account.
  2. In the left panel, under Connectivity, choose Destinations.
  3. Search for the destination with name RVC_mail.
    1. If the destination exists, ensure that the configuration is as shown in the screenshot below.
    2. If the destination does not exist, choose New Destination, and under Destination Configuration, enter the destination details as shown in the screenshot below.
  4. Save your changes.

Request assignment of roles to users

For your users to be able to work with RVC, roles need to be assigned to your users in your company’s sub-account under CENIT’s SAP BTP global account.

  1. Open a support request at CENIT
  2. For each user you want to assign RVC role collections to, make sure to
    1. name the user’s User Name from your company’s sub-account under CENIT’s SAP BTP global account.

      i. This information can be found under Security/Users in SAP BTP Cockpit

    2. name the RVC role collections to assign.
