Assigning Administrator Permissions

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to identify and grant access to the administrator role the permissions needed to modify or activate features within Career Development Planning.

Administrator Permissions Necessary for Career Development Planning

The administrator role within SAP SuccessFactors typically changes or maintains the system features utilizing Admin Center. The role also tests and troubleshoots the end user view to optimize its functionality. Administrator permissions are critical to the management of options available within Career Development Planning. Unique to this module, some of the administrator permissions below display in the end user view in addition to the Admin Center view. Below is a screenshot as well as a description of each permission enabled.

Caution

This lesson is not an all-inclusive list of administrator permissions within the SAP SuccessFactors suite. Permission options will vary based on the modules you have purchased and enabled with your Professional Services consultant. For example, if you are using Learning with your development goals, you may have different options or need additional permissions for complete changes. This manual is constructed without the activation of Employee Central and the Job Profile Builder. Please review those administrator guides if you are using these products for further details of expected changes.

To view the administrator permissions pertaining to CDP, go to Admin CenterSet User PermissionsManage Permission Roles.

The Manage Career Development section in the Add Permissions stage is highlighted on the Create Role page.
