SAP SuccessFactors includes a proxy function that allows one employee to act on behalf of another. This function is useful to both end users and administrators. Administrators use it extensively for troubleshooting, while end users can use it for delegation. The system maintains an audit log of who performs a particular action on behalf of another user.
- Administrators can configure company-wide proxy settings.
- Administrators can bulk import proxy assignments.
- Users can assign proxies to act on their behalf for specific modules during specific time periods.
Administrators make Proxy assignments in Admin Center → Proxy Management (shown in the figure below).

Proxy Import
Administrators can also use a CSV import file to add, edit, or remove multiple proxy assignments simultaneously. The Proxy Import is found in Admin Center, shown in the figure below.
Personal Settings - Become Proxy
When a user has been assigned as someone's proxy, they can use proxy access to access their account and act on their behalf. This setting is found under the Name Menu → Settings → Proxy → Become Proxy.
Note
More details are available on the SAP Help Portal in the Proxy Access guide.
