Creating and Updating the Content Pages

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to add and update Content pages.

Content Pages

No jobs are included on Content pages; they contain information about the company culture, benefits, diversity, university programs, and so on. Content pages are sometimes hosted by the customer, rather than created in CSB. In that case, the header will link to an external page. Some Content pages (such as Location) may be auto-generated by enabling the Site Kit.

To add a Content page, click the gear icon. From here, you can add a new page or duplicate an existing page. Other options are to delete a page, add meta tags for the page (title, keywords, description), or work with other versions of the page (edit, publish, or revert).

See additional information about working with page components provided earlier in this training.

  4. Click on the Text component.

    1. For Header Text enter At Best Run we embrace and encourage diversity and inclusion.

    2. Click the T icon (Open Styling) to the right of the Header Text.

    3. Change the Size to 32, the Alignment to Center, and the Color to Best Run Blue. Click Close.

    4. At the top of the window Save draft and click the < arrow next to Text.

    10. At the top of the window click the < arrow.

    11. Click Select for the image.

    12. The Image Type and Image Position settings do not need to be changed because the woman’s face in the center of the photo is the focal point.

    13. Hover over the image and note the file's dimension. For Max Height of Image, enter 417.

    14. Click Publish and Preview.

    15. Resize the preview window to a cell phone size. Notice that in addition to the woman’s face, small portions of two other faces are visible. In the next exercise we will duplicate this component and provide an image specifically sized for mobile devices.

Task 2: Add a Link to the Diversity Page on the Home Page

Steps

  1. In CSB, navigate to the English, Default Brand, Home page. (Need more instructions? See the Exercise "Add a Component to the Home Page".)

  2. Scroll down and click on the Image Carousel.

  3. From the Images tab, add another image.

    1. Scroll down to the new image and select the image file named Diversity_wText.jpg.

    2. For the Alt Text, enter stick figure.

    3. Enable the link and link to the Diversity - English - Default Brand page.

    4. For the link Title, enter Diversity and Inclusion.

    5. When you Publish and Preview and click on the new image, you will be linked to the new Diversity Content page.

    Note

The Diversity page was added only to the home page of the English language Default Brand. In a later exercise you will duplicate the page for the Best Run brand.

Steps

  1. Navigate to CSBPagesContent, and click the + (Expand All) button at the top of the left navigation pane.

  3. Click on the Diversity page under the Default Brand.

  4. From the gear icon at the top, select Duplicate Page . For Title enter Diversity, leave the Locale set to English, and for Brand select Red. Click Save. Notice from the top of the page that the Diversity page on the Red brand is opened if you need to make changes.
