Web Application Configuration Files
The user web interface of an SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 2025 web application (for instance, BI Launch Pad, CMC) can be easily customized by updating some properties in a dedicated web application configuration file.
- Properties Files:
- Security and access controls may be necessary to implement specific security measures or access control to meet your security requirement.
- An administrator may want to adjust the properties for the BI Launch Pad to ensure that sensitive data is appropriately protected. This file is deployed on the machine hosting your web application server.
- SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 2025 provides a configuration file within a default folder for each web application (*.properties file).
- SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 2025 administrators can copy and customize these configuration files within a dedicated custom folder.
Note
For more information on the other BI Launch Pad properties that can be customized, please click the following link: (BI Launch Pad Properties).

Hiding the machine name is a security best practice by making it slightly more challenging for attackers to identify the specific infrastructure component of SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 2025 they might target.
