Promoting BI Content
Central Management Console (CMC) provides an embedded application to transport (promote) BI content between two environments with or without an archive file (.LCMBIAR file).
- Definition:
Administrators use the Promotion Management Tool to:
Manage the deployment and promotion of content and objects across different SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 2025 deployments (for instance, DEV, QAS, PROD).
Copy BI objects from one system to another.
Manage the universes and dependencies of the resource.
Partial or full rollback the promoted resources at the destination system, if necessary.
Note
You can promote a BI resource from one system to another only if the same version of SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 2025 is installed on both the source and destination systems.
